From the Director...
The Chorale Acadienne 2007-2008 season, Music for Celebrations, highlights music from the time of the Marquis de Lafayette. We celebrate his birth and role in the formation of our new independent nation. At our Fall concert, we perform American Revolutionary War songs, including Yankee Doodle, and texts written by our founding fathers. We welcome the holiday season with our traditional Christmas by Candlelight in December. For our Spring concert we join with the Acadiana Symphony to present the Mozart Coronation Mass, one of the most popular of Mozart's choral works.
This season Chorale will sponsor two events that are not part of our season series. Chorale has invited Piano4 for a return "solo" concert, following their successful appearance last year. Our annual Moonlight and Music concert will be more fun than ever with light music performed by Chorale and delicious food.
Music for Celebrations promises to be a joyful and entertaining group of concerts for our wonderful patrons of Acadiana. Come celebrate with us.
